In celebration of the best time of the year, I thought it would be fun to add my favorite syrup recipe to the spooky season drop. Below you will find the ingredients to the syrup that has kept me out of the Starbucks drive thru since they debuted PSL again!
PSL Syrup Recipe
Sweetened Condensed Milk
1. Add 1 c brown sugar and 1.5c water, 1 tsp cloves, 3-4 cinnamon sticks, 1.5 tsp pumpkin spice, 1/4 tsp ground ginger to pot and bring to a low boil until sugar has completely dissolved. Reduce heat to low and allow boil to stop before continuing.
2. Add 1/2c sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 c pumpkin puree. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes then remove from heat. Do not allow this last step to come to a boil. It will cause separation and the syrup will be watery.
3. Once syrup is done you can pour it into a mason jar or other container. I recommend pouring over a strainer to remove cloves and cinnamon sticks
*For my latte lovers (hot or iced) start with 1/4c and increase based on taste preference.
I have tried so many different recipes and this one is by far the best! You can add this syrup into a regular cup of coffee or into your hot or iced lattes with the creamer of your choice (my personal go to is the Oatly brand oat milk).
I hope this syrup makes your morning coffee time even better!
